I used to live in Florida, but I now live in Northeast Pennsylvania where I live with my husband of 3 years. I first
met my husband on the internet and then later we met "officially" in Virginia. That was September of 2000. In August of 2001,
we were married in Florida.
I descend from Willis Aaron Hodges, who was a son of William Henry Hodges. Willis was born in Tattnall Co, GA. He married
Mahalia Johns and togther they had 15 children, one of which was my great grandfather, John Joshua Hodges. Willis also married,
after the death of his first wife, Basheba Heath and they had two children. Willis died many months after his last child was
born.
I also descend from Walter Kellar McPherson. he was the son of Edward McPherson and Ada Lum. They were not married. Not
much is known about Edward, but it is said that he was killed in a railroad accident and that Ada soon married Victor Kline
in Nov 1890. They had two sons together. Walter married Susan Carroll and they had at least 7 children. One of those children
was Carroll Walter McPherson Sr and he is my grandfather. Carroll married Wanda Alsip, the daughter of Edwin Bennett Alsip.
